The $57.7M Warehouse Underway at Walsh in West Fort Worth

A Nashville developer started a warehouse of about 1 million SF off I-20 in October, and it's already leased. Here's what's being built, the timeline, what the reports don't say yet, and what I'd watch.

What's being built

Nashville-based Hamilton Development bought 60 acres inside the Walsh community in west Fort Worth, off I-20 and Bentley Bridge Drive. It's building a warehouse of about 1 million SF, including 6,000 SF of office.

  • Construction began Oct. 15, 2026, according to a state filing
  • Completion is targeted for the third quarter of 2027
  • The building is already leased, and the tenant hasn't been named

The bigger picture

This is Hamilton Development's first Texas project, and the first of two buildings coming to Walsh Industrial. Walsh Companies CEO Ryan Dickerson says Walsh Industrial will exceed 20 million SF at full build-out.

Timeline

  1. Oct. 15, 2026Construction begins, according to a state filing.
  2. Q3 2027Completion targeted for the first building.
  3. LaterA second building is planned for Walsh Industrial; timing and size haven't been reported.

What I'd watch

The I-20 corridor on the west side. When a building this big gets leased before it's built, users are telling you they want that location, and the land around it starts getting looked at differently.

What the reports don't say yet

  • Who the tenant is
  • When the second building starts and how big it will be
  • The building's exact spot inside Walsh (reports say off I-20 and Bentley Bridge Drive)

Notes on the numbers

  • One original source: Hoodline's story retells the Fort Worth Report and adds nothing new. We found no release from Hamilton Development or Walsh, so these facts rest on the Fort Worth Report.
  • Size: the Fort Worth Report says about 1 million SF and Hoodline says nearly 1 million SF, so we say about.
  • "Started" rests on the state filing that shows construction beginning Oct. 15.
  • Reports give different total acreages for Walsh, so we left that number out.
